Whilst flare could be a nusance in some images, it can also be used creatively in others. Flare could be very helpful in recreating the ‘whole experience’
and making a viewer feel that they are part of the image. It makes the picture more real, it helps the viewer to connect to the image better by creating the feeling of ‘being there’.

I sometimes use flare in my work to recreate this effect: I particularly favour the strong shadows that this approach generates, as demonstrated in the image below.
